Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord 1.0 was released in 2022, during this time it was not abandoned by developers, though. They have published 2 major updates and many smaller ones, to deal with bugs and polish gameplay. 2024 is beginning and many players wonder what will happen with Bannerlord this year. As of now, developers do not share any information about the release of 1.3 Patch. We may expect it to take awhile, though. Dejan, Community Menager, on TaleWorlds forum answered one of the fans that we can’t expect the new beta for some time. The conversation was in December. How does it help us?
Going through previous releases, we can see that between beta version and the main one is at least 3 months. What is more, right now, Bannerlord is at 1.2.8 version which was implemented in December.
- To sum up, we may expect 1.3 version to be released between March – June.

At this point, we don’t know what to expect from TaleWorlds in 2024. Developers used to present some insights into their plans. It was true in the case of Early Access and full release. However, they have been silent for some time in this matter.
They have, at least to some extent, covered most of the promises, but not all. We may expect in the future claimants’ quests and replay editor. Nevertheless, developers make sure to be very mysterious about the upcoming content.
Many players believe that taking into consideration the secrecy of future content, and the gap between 1.2 and 1.3, we may expect something big. Some fans think that we may learn more about DLC. It was not officially confirmed, but in its full release announcement TaleWorlds gave a hint that it is very likely:
As a testament to that - there is no particular DLC that we want to announce right now. However, we are observing and discussing many of the topics that you are passionate about.
What is more, it is quite possible that we will receive another “what to expect” list with planned features.
As of now, nothing is certain, though. We will have to wait and see what the future holds.
