Mortal Shell Sales Exeeded 0.5 Million. Enhanced Edition Hits PS5 and XSX

Sales of Cols Symmetry's Mortal Shell exceeded 500 thousand copies. The enhanced version of the game is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Cold Symmetry and Playstack boasted that the sales of Mortal Shell exceeded half a million copies. The game was released in August last year on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version is available only in Epic Games Store.

The sales figures should increase significantly this year. Yesterday, an enhanced version of the game titled Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition debuted on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S , offering improved graphics (including sharper textures and 60 FPS). Those who own the project on PS4 and XONE can get this edition for free, but there will certainly be many players who want to start their adventure with the title only on next-gen.

Moreover, this year Mortal Shell should debut on Steam, as the project is only a temporary exclusive on Epic Games Store. The release in Valve's store is expected in the summer.

Mortal Shell was released on August 18, 2020. The game had some technical issues on the day of its release, but nevertheless it met with a warm reception and was considered a noteworthy proposal for fans of Dark Souls. The PC version received an average rating of 76% on Metacritic. The PS4 edition can boast the same result, and in the case of the Xbox One edition it is 75%.

After the release, the game was actively supported by the developers. Apart from patches improving the technical condition, a free expansion titled Rotting Autumn was released, offering new content.
