Morrowind Rebirth Version 5.2 Goes Live - NPCs May Stop Talking to Us

Morrowind Rebirth, one of the biggest mods for the iconic installment of The Elder Scrolls, lived to see version 5.2. It introduced numerous changes and improvements, mainly those that affect immersion.

IN A NUTSHELL

  • The biggest gameplay-related change implemented in the update is the mechanic that enables NPCs to end conversation with us if their attitude towards us drops below 15.
  • The mod also introduces a series of fixes, as well as changes affecting immersion.

Morrowind Rebirth is one of the biggest mods for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and no wonder, as it has been developed since 2011. Trancemaster_1988, the creator of the project, has recently published version 5.2 of his work. It focuses on minor fixes and improvements, primarily to improve immersion and gameplay quality.

It seems that the biggest change in the latest version of the mod is that from now on NPCs will get offended and end the conversation with us if their attitude towards the hero drops below 15 and we don't succeed in trying to persuade or bribe them.

Now we can no longer constantly bother NPCs. The screen shot is a still from the test version of mod, currently the value is 15. Author: trancemaster_1988, source: moddb

But this is not the end of the new features. One of the most interesting is the change of appearance of Gnisis and Seyda Neen. Now both more reflect the spirit of what they were meant to be - a mining settlement and a fishing village respectively.

The latest version of the mod also introduces a number of visual improvements. Additionally, it patches many bugs and implements numerous changes in the balance of the game. The new update also adds additional variations of opponents.

These are minor differences, but they can change the reception of this venerable's game. Author: trancemaster_1988, source: moddb
