Mod Enables Playable TPP Mode in Cyberpunk 2077
People who were bothered by the fact that CD Projekt RED's latest game does not resemble The Witcher 3 enough have now reasons to be happy. A mod enriching Cyberpunk 2077 with working third-person view has appeared on the web.
- A mod enabling us to play Cyberpunk 2077 in TPP view appeared on the web;
- The mod is in early stages of development at this point, making it more of a curiosity than a truly interesting new way to play CD Projekt RED's latest game.
Jelle Bakker has released a mod for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077, which enables us to change our camera from the default FPP to TPP (originally available only while driving). The mod is at an early stage of development, so any sudden movements, slides or dodges can cause the character model to bend in ways it is not supposed to bend. It should also be remembered that the game wasn't created with such a camera in mind, hence e.g. some of the cut-scenes may play incorrectly, which in the worst case may even make it impossible to complete the game.
The mod is available for download on Nexus Mods. To make it work, we need to download and install Cyber Engine Tweaks beforehand. After the modification is correctly installed, we should be able to switch freely between the four available cameras (FPP and and three different TPP views) using the "B" key on our keyboard.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. An update is also in preparation for next-gen consoles - PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
