Minecraft Dungeons Flames of the Nether DLC Coming in February
The developers of Minecraft: Dungeons announced that on February 24 the game will receive the fourth paid DLC, titled Flames of the Nether. The game will also get a large, free update.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- On February 24, a new paid expansion for Minecraft: Dungeons - Flames of the Nether- will debut;
- We will receive several new missions, items and skins;
- Along with the DLC, the game will get a major update, introducing the endgame mechanic Ancient Hunts.
Developers at Mojang Studios announced that the fourth paid expansion for the hack'n'slash Minecraft: Dungeons, titled Flames of the Nether, will be released on February 24. The add-on is set to take us on a journey to the Nether, showing familiar locations in a way we haven't seen them before.
We'll get six new missions, two skins, more artifacts, weapons and other equipment. The game will also add a Baby Ghast, which can be kept as a pet.
It is worth noting that along with the expansion, we will also get an extensive, free update, which the developers call "the most ambitious in the history of Minecraft: Dungeons". The patch will introduce a new mechanic, called Ancient Hunts. From its description we can deduce that it will be something similar to Nephalem Rifts known from Diablo 3 - randomly generated, end-game missions in the Nether, which will be the only chance to get the best equipment. There will also be changes in Apocalypse Plus mode and a new currency (gold), which we can use to trade with the merchant in the camp.
Minecraft: Dungeons is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
