Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne seems to be the perfect channel to promote the upcoming Monster Hunter movie (or at least in theory, because in practice its trailers evoke mixed feelings in many fans of the series, to put it mildly). For this reason, less than a month before the movie's release, Capcom announced a special event where players will be able to control its main character, Artemis, and perform two challenging tasks in exchange for the chance to win valuable prizes. It is also worth mentioning that Milla Jovovovich lent not only the appearance to the virtual Artemis, but also her voice. Below you will find the trailer of the event and a handful of details.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne x Monster Hunter, as the event is called, will start on December 4 and end on December 3, 2021. Two missions have been prepared for it, aimed at master rank players. The first of them, titled The New World, will take place in Wildspire Waste, where we will face the Black Diablos. For its completion, we will receive the materials needed to create a set of Artemis gear, containing earplugs and providing health buff, stun resistance, as well as accelerating regeneration and increasing luck.
The second task, To Our World, will come after the first one, and will have us face Rathalos. The prize for his performance will be Artemis Layered Armor, known from the movie.
This is not the end of the story, as Capcom has also prepared a special content pack for the upcoming premiere of Monster Hunter. It will be given to players who log on to the game between November 27, and December 3, 2021.
Monster Hunter will premiere on December 30. Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne can be played on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
