Microsoft Gears up for Major Announcement; It’s All About Presence of New Call of Duty in Game Pass
Game Pass subscribers began receiving notifications indicating that the latest installment of the Call of Duty series will hit Microsoft's flagship service on its launch day. An official announcement is a matter of hours away.
There is now little doubt that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was announced last week, will be available on the Game Pass service. Microsoft itself began to hint at this by sending out information to users of the service (in the Game Pass app available in some countries) that Activision's shooter will be available on the service from the day of release.
When can we expect an official statement from the giant from Redmond on this matter? According to The Verge's Tom Warren, the announcement will be "published at 10 a.m. ET on the Xbox Wire blog." The URL address in his post will most likely be activated then.
Considering the reports that have been circulating for some time, the presence of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in Game Pass shouldn't surprise anyone (we are also curious about what kind of offer will be added to this). It may be somewhat surprising that Microsoft will announce the news in May. Recent leaks suggested that this would only happen after the June Xbox Games Showcase.
