Microsoft Accidentally Reveals New Appearance of Windows 10 Start Menu
Microsoft mistakenly made an early version of Windows 10 available to testers. It contains a completely redesigned Start menu that is not based on Microsoft Live Tiles.
The Verge reports that Microsoft accidentally released an early version of Windows 10, number 18947, to Windows Insider participants. Importantly, it contains a completely different Start menu. The changes are very far-reaching and will not necessarily appeal to all users - Microsoft Live Tiles have been completely eliminated and replaced by large icons on a uniform, bright background.
Of course, there is no certainty that the changes will actually reach the final version of the system - after all it's just a test release and a lot can still change (especially if there are negative opinions on the web). Users also noted that the Emoji Panel / Emoji Picker tool received a GIF search function.
The leak OS was Windows 10 32-bit version. Its causes are unknown. The company screened the situation and informed that it was a simple mistake.
“This was an error and we’ve since pulled the build,” as a company spokesperson said for The Verge.
