Marvel's Midnight Suns Won't Offer Microtransactions That Disrupt Game Balance
Marvel's Midnight Suns will not offer microtransactions and will focus entirely on the single player experience. This was confirmed by the game's creative director Jake Solomon.
- Marvel's Midnight Suns will not extract money from the players with microtransactions affecting the balance of the game;
- Instead, optional skins will be made available.
Marvel's Midnight Suns will offer no microtransactions. In an interview with NME, Jake Solomon - creative director of the project - confirmed that we will receive a full-fledged single-player title. No extorting more powerful versions of cards or other forms of bringing the game closer to Pay 2 Win.
Of course, this does not mean that Firaxis will not prepare story expansion at a later time, but no player is likely to be offended by this kind of post-launch support. The more so as the superhero theme leaves a lot of points, which can be used during the possible development of DLC.
Marvel's Midnight Suns will be released in March 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S. The title will enable us to take on a self-created character called The Hunter and lead a team that includes Iron Man, Captain America, Blade, Dr. Strange, and Wolverine.
The gameplay will combine the tactical flair known for example from the XCOM series and elements of a card game. The material showing the gameplay in action gives us a glimpse of what we can expect from the game.
