Marvel's Blade to be Scripted by Stacy Osei-Kuffour
We have learned the name of the screenwriter who will script the new movie about Blade, Marvel's popular half-blood vampire hunter. It is Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who has worked, e.g. on the Watchmen series.
Although we will have to wait a little bit longer for the new version of Blade, which this time will be played by by two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, we already know who will prepare the script for the movie. As reported by Deadline, the person responsible for the writing will be Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
The most famous work in Osei-Kuffour's resume is the Watchmenseries aired on HBO. Apart from that title, her works also includes Hulu's PEN15, for which she received an Emmy nomination for best comedy series script, and Amazon Prime Video's acclaimed Hunters.
The new film version of Blade will once again tell the story of the half-vampire known from the pages of Marvel's comics, who has dedicated his life to fighting his monstrous brethren. Unfortunately, more details about the plot of the upcoming movie are unknown so far.
We remind that Blade has already appeared on cinema screens several times. In the trilogy from 1998 to 2004, the title character was played by Wesley Snipes who created quite a memorable performance. Will Mahershali Ali repeat this feat? All we can do is keep our fingers crossed.
