The work pace of the developers of No Man's Sky is really impressive. Just at the end of May, they released the Adrift update, and now, over a month and a half later, a large update called "Worlds Part I" has come to the space game. There are really a lot of changes, and in this news we will only present the most important ones. Below, you can watch the official trailer.

Refreshed worlds and a new expedition

As the name suggests, version 5.0 focuses on the game's worlds and the immersion that comes from exploring them. They have been completely refreshed visually, with improvements made to clouds, sky, water, wind, storms, rain, and shadow detail. Their overall diversity has also increased and many new types of worlds have been added, including frozen, desert, radioactive, toxic, or scorched.

Another new feature is the fourteenth expedition available in the game - The Liquidators. We will team up with other players within it and embark on a journey to eradicate swarms of massive insects. Participants can expect exceptional prizes, including trophies and pieces of armor.

Among the other novelties we will find:

  1. enriched fauna and flora;
  2. combat mech;
  3. option to create Solar class ships;
  4. possibility of changing the names of discovered planets, minerals, systems, etc. at any moment.
  5. DLSS 3.0 support.

It's also worth noting that, as the name suggests, this is only the first part of the update, so the devs are most likely planning to further improve the world available in the game. If you want to see the complete list of changes, I suggest you visit the update description page.
