Mafia Remake Delayed
2K Games has decided to postpone the release of Mafia: Definitive Edition. According to the latest schedule, the remake of the iconic game from 2002, prepared by Hangar 13, will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 25. On July 22, gameplay from the upcoming title will be presented.
The next game scheduled for this year will be delayed. This time it is Mafia: Definitive Edition, the remake of an iconic game from nearly two decades ago, prepared by Hangar 13. According to 2K Games, the title will not launch as originally planned on August 28, but a month later - on September 25. The reason for this decision are some difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which makes it impossible to complete the game on time. In the official statement we read:
"The last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience. From the beginning, this has been a passion project for us. Many of our developers helped create the original Mafia, and all of us are committed to crafting an updated experience worthy of that timeless classic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make Mafia: Definitive Edition the very best it can be for all of our fans worldwide."
As a consolation, 2K and Hangar 13 announced that Mafia: Definitive Edition's gameplay footage will be presented on July 22. Below you can watch a short teaser of the event.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
