Mafia 1 Remake - Game Intro Compared With the Original

There is less than a month left until the release of Mafia: Definitive Edition. Developed by Hangar 13, the remake of the iconic gangster game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 25. Many players are wondering to what extent the team from Novato managed to convey the atmosphere of the work from Illusion Softworks. For such people we have prepared a small comparison (shorter and longer version) of the videos opening the original Mafia and its refreshed version. So, without further ado, we invite you to the screening:
As you can see, the pace of both animations is very similar. There are also similar shots in both. At the same time, it's very easy to catch a lot of differences. In the remake, for example, the opening quotation from the Epistle to the Romans has been abandoned and the names of the members of the cast have been limited to the initial subtitles, leaving out other members of the team. Most interestingly, however, in the refreshed version of the title, Detective Norman comes to the café where he meets Tommy Angelo already sitting there. In the original, this situation looks exactly the opposite. The conversation between the two of you is also quite different.
Finally, Mafia: Definitive Edition will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
