Lucifer Gets Season 6; Season 5 in August

Netflix surprised Lucifer fans. Not only did the company announce the release date of the fifth season, but also officially announced season six, which is to be the last. For real this time.

Lucifer will return. Again.

Lucifer's fate has been uncertain for over a year. The fourth season debuted on Netflix in May 2019 and fans were eagerly awaiting any news from the producers. It was only expected that the fifth season of the story about retired master of Hell may be the definitive end of the series, but facts turned out to be different.

Netflix published two official announcements within two days - one says that the first part of the fifth season will debut on the platform on August 21. Together with this announcement, a special ideo showing the funniest scenes with the main character appeared on the web.

The second message surprised the fans much more, as Netflix announced that the sixth, last season of Lucifer will be created. And although the series was to end its life many times, now it seems to be the final cut. A big role was certainly played by the fans, who loudly demanded a worthy finale of the whole story.

The number of episodes has also changed. The fifth season will not follow the path of the ten-episode fourth season and will be divided into two parts of 8 episodes each. The exact shape of the grand finale is still unknown, let alone its release date.
