Queues to EU Servers, Gold Traders Spamming: Lost Ark Devs on Game's Problems
The developers of Lost Ark have shared a list of reported bugs and discussed the steps they have taken to fix them.
The release of Lost Ark was one of the many high-profile February debuts. As we know, the game launched very well but the farther it goes, the more problems are reported by players. Therefore, a note was published on Lost Ark's official forum, where the creators shared the known problems and how to fix them.
Problems with servers
The vast majority of reported problems are related to servers. To be more precise - they are not capacious enough, which makes players have to wait to join the game.
- Players from Central Europe complain about the biggest queues. Therefore, the developers recommend new and novice players to start their adventure on the servers in Western Europe, which have been added to Lost Ark.
- As the developers say, they are neither able to increase the capacity of servers further nor create new ones to solve this issue.
- Despite the many voices of players about allowing character transfer between servers, Smilegate has only made this option available to players in Korea. According to the developers, they will not rest until they have exhausted all options. We can hope that the character transfer feature will also come to other regions.
- Players have also reported problems with the matchmaking system for Dungeons in the Central Europe region. For this purpose a two-hour server reset was performed yesterday at midnight. The problem should now be resolved.
What else do developers need to fix?
In the announcement we can also read about two other problems related to Lost Ark . It's about gold traders who spam in the chat and the proper protection of player accounts.
- Smilegate is working on scripts that will automatically ban pushy traders. Until the developers fix the problem, players can work around it by creating a new chat and customizing its content.
- In turn, to curb the activities of cheaters in the game, the developers have introduced a system that limits the number of purchases that can be made per day on a single account.
- The developers are also working on the "Purchase Failed" error that appears in the store. In the future players can expect not only the notification itself but also a description of what went wrong during the purchase.
- Smilegate is also making improvements to the way the store works and the items available in it, including the Crystalline Aura. Bugs related to matchmaking, which could not be fixed by a server restart, are also being fixed.
The team behind Lost Ark didn't forget to thank the players and remind of the importance of community feedback for the game's development. If you want to read the full note, you can find it on the game's official forum.
