Lost Ark Can Easily Lose Up 21 GB of Disk Space
If you play Lost Ark and you're having a hard time with disk space, there is a way. One player has discovered how to reduce the amount of space taken up by the game by more than 20 GB.
Lost Ark is not the smallest game in terms of space used - according to the information on Steam it requires 50 GB, and in fact the Western version of the game weighs a little over 70 GB. However, this number can be reduced by removing unnecessary files from the game.
Zap, and 21 GB less
Lost Ark is available in several language versions. These are exactly: English, German, French and Spanish. It is certain that the players won't use most of them, because most of them play in English anyway. Therefore, an interesting option is to delete unnecessary language packs in the audio folder.
As pointed out by user Veldt the game's size was reduced by the aforementioned 21 GB after deleting the unnecessary files from the WwiseAudio folder. The path to those files can be found below:
- Steam\steamapps\Lost Ark\EFGame\ReleasePC\WwiseAudio
May update
Speaking of the MMORPG is also worth mentioning that it will receive a significant update in May. In an announcement that appeared a few days ago on the official website of the game, it outlined what we can expect from the update. The biggest new features will be:
- First Legion Raid - Valtan (various difficulty levels). A minimum of 1415th item level will be required to participate. It will also introduce a new item rarity to the game - Relic.
- New Guardian Raid - Deskaluda, which will also require players to have a minimum item level of 1415. It will be possible to get relics from the raid.
- New Destroyer class - this will be the fifth warrior in the game. When playing as Destroyer, we will have a lot of control over our opponents; characters from this class can slow down, repel, toss and draw enemies to themselves.
Lost Ark revives
The announcement also seemed to have motivated some fans to return to the game. As we can see from the graph showing the number of players, more or less since May 6, when the news was published, Lost Ark has seen slightly more people soending time in the game (via SteamDB - today's decrease in the number of players is due to server maintenance).
The exact date when the update will launch in the game is unknown. Let's hope, however, that it will not disappoint the players and Lost Ark will continue to maintain its popularity at a satisfactory level.
