LoL's Latest Character has a Ton of Bugs
Viego, the new character in League of Legends, has a number of bugs. His unusual interaction with other heroes leads to bizarre situations in the game, such as when a character's skill has no cooldown for a certain period of time.
Last week, the official servers of League of Legends welcomed a new champion - Viego, the Ruined King - whose announcement sparked significant reaction from the community. It's hardly surprising, as the character seems to be quite unique and has an interesting backstory (mainly due to the focus on telling it through different forms), but his arrival to Field of Justice isn't going too well. The reason for this is the huge number of bugs that plague the protagonist since he first appeared in the game.
Across last week, popular YouTuber Vandiril, who mainly deals with finding and spreading awareness of various bugs in LoL, presented on several videos on how many bugs Viego has. Most of them are due to the unusual interactions the character has with other champions - after taking part in killing an enemy, he can momentarily impersonate them, using their skills and items, which apparently causes a mess in the game code. You can find the most interesting interactions and over 30 bugs in the video below.
According to Vandiril, the most interesting bug is the one where after becoming the enemy, one of the skills has a zero cooldown (enabling us to use it over and over again) or the enemy's ult becomes available to Viego, which normally shouldn't be possible at all. The bug occurs when, right after killing an enemy, we attack another enemy with a basic skill and then reincarnate as the previously killed hero. However, this cannot be recreated in every game.
Developers at Riot Games are working to resolve the issues (some of which were fixed before Viego even appeared on the official servers), but LoL players are aware that the less intrusive bugs will likely remain with us for quite some time, as they have with many other heroes.
