Experimental RPG Live A Live Coming to PC, PS4 and PS5

Square Enix has announced that Live A Live, the excellent jRPG from Nintendo Switch, is coming soon to PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Live A Live, one of the best jRPGs to hit the Nintendo Switch last year, will be ported to other hardware platforms.

  1. Square Enix has announced that Live A Live is heading to PC, PlayStation 5 and PS5.
  2. The PC release will be sold on Steam.
  3. The game will debut on PC, PS4 and PS5 on April 27, this year.
  4. A demo of the game will soon be made available on the afforementioned platforms.

Live A Live is a remake of the classic jRPG of the same name, originally released in 1994 for the 16-bit Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) console.. The game never left the borders of the Land of the Rising Sun, so its refreshed version was the first official English-language version.

A grand experiment

Despite being a remake, Live A Live turned out to be one of the most unusual jRPG launches of last year..

  1. The original was highly experimental and few other games have followed suit.
  2. The game presents the story of eight characters within nine different scenarios.
  3. Each adventure takes place in different setting - from prehistoric times to the far future - and offers unique mechanics to enhance gameplay.

The remake met with a warm reception - on Metacritic the Switch edition of Live A Live has an average rating of 81%.
