Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name With New Info on Plot and Mechanics
Sega has released new details on the plot, combat system and locations in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega have updated the official website of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Thanks to this, we learned fresh details about the game's storyline, combat system and locations. Some of them are merely clarifications of earlier information, while others are completely new.
Story
The main character will be the legendary gangster Kazuma Kiryu, who faked his death to protect his loved ones. He keeps out of trouble on a daily basis, but occasionally carries out missions as a secret agent for the Daidoji faction - a mysterious organization that was formed to solve problems for the Japanese government.
Combat
Two fighting styles will be used in the clashes:
- Yakuza style - will enable you to defeat enemies by force. This is the ultimate form of Kiryu's distinctive fighting style. It enables you to deliver a series of brutal punches and kicks and use elements of the environment as weapons.
- Agent style - will focus on speed. This is a secret martial art practiced by members of the Daidoji faction, inspired by various systems around the world. An important part of it is the use of gadgets to eliminate enemies quickly.
Locations
Most of the story will take place in two locations:
- Sotenbori in Osaka is the game's main setting. In areas controlled by the criminal Omi Alliance, there will be a high probability that someone will recognize Kiryu.
- Isezaki Ijincho - a city near the port of Yokohama that is the headquarters of the Seiryu gang. This organization will become Kiryu's target when trying to solve a certain case.
Pre-order bonus
Those who pre-order the game before its release will receive DLC as a rewardf:
- Legendary Fighter Pack - three legendary gangsters from the Tojo clan (Daigo Dojima, Goro Majima and Taiga Saejima) will appear in the arena on a mysterious tanker at sea.
