LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Delayed; New Release Date Unknown
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have announced that the anticipated spring release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was delayed indefinitely. The reason for this decision is the desire to refine the game.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be coming to the market later than announced. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have announced that the release will not happen this spring as expected. The developers explain that they "want to give us the biggest and best LEGO game ever". To achieve this goal they need more time and at the moment are unable to say when the title will see the light of day. A new release date is expected to be announced as soon as possible.
The title was announced back in 2019. It is supposed to be an action-adventure game in which we can freely explore the universe known from Star Wars. The story presented in the game is to include all nine feature films from the universe. However, it will not be a faithful adaptation and some threads will be changed. According to the devs, we will encounter 900 characters, 300 of which will be fully playable.
For LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga this is the second delay - originally the devs expected the title to launch in 2020. The game will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
