No Investigation is the Same in This Detective Game
Shadows of Doubt, an ambitious detective immersive sim that could prove to be one of April's black horses, debuts today in Steam's Early Access.
In a few hours, we will see the debut of Shadows of Doubt, a wildly ambitious detective game by ColePowered Games.
- The game will debut today in Steam Early Access at 5 p.m. CET.
- Currently, only the PC version is planned.
- Early Access period is expected to last about six months, but may be extended in response to player feedback.
Crazy ambitions of the developers
The ambitions of the devs are downright crazy. Shadows of Doubt is a detective game of the immersive sim type, combining elements of adventure and stealth.
- Its action will be set in a virtual city, where we will allegedly be able to explore each building.
- In addition, all residents are to be controlled by sophisticated AI algorithms, determining their needs, likes and dislikes and daily schedules.
- In addition to the main storyline, a ton of side quests are to be available, and most of the tasks can be completed in a variety of ways.
The game's ambitions are ridiculous, but the devs are well on their way to realizing them. The demo released at the recent Steam Next Fest showed that all the announced systems and mechanics work as they should, so I'm very excited about today's release.
