Kona, chilly adventure/survival to launch next month

While there are hundreds of early access games on Steam, Kona is one of the few that stand out from the crowd. This eerie adventure game with elements of survival is soon going to leave Steam Early Access.

Kona, an eerie adventure game with elements of survival and open world set in snowy Canada of 1970, is soon going to launch on Steam – its full release is planned for March 17, 2017. In this game you play as a private detective hired to investigate a case of vandalism in a small village in the north of the country. Upon arriving, the protagonist gets trapped there by a snowstorm and soon discovers that all inhabitants have vanished. Your job is to discover the mystery surrounding this place and survive against merciless elements and wild animals. As you play, you will be experiencing the tale by means of omniscient, third-person storyteller.

Kona has been available in Steam Early Access for almost a year now, offering about half of the full game (so as not to spoil the ending). You can currently get the playable beta for $17.99 – note that the price is most likely to rise upon release. So far, the game has been receiving very positive Steam user reviews, so it definitely stands out from the crowd of mediocre early access titles. Kona is the first out of four episodes of the story that the team at indie studio Parabole intend to tell the players.
