- Level cap increase to 50;
- A new Chaos mechanic with its own development tree.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, released last year, apparently proved to be a financial success, as a new expansion for this remaster has just been announced, titled Fatesworn. This is a rare case of an expansion developed exclusively for a refreshed version of a video game.
We won't have to wait long for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Fatesworn, because the launch is planned for December 14 this year. The DLC will hit PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Thanks to backward compatibility, owners of the Xbox S/X Series and PlayStation 5 will also be able to play it. Those who own Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fate Edition will receive the DLC for free.
Fatesworn will offer a new story campaign revolving around the awakening of the Chaos God Telogrus. He is rapidly starting to gather followers and if we don't stop him, he will plunge the entire world into chaos.
The DLC will take us to a new realm - the frosty Mitros. Main storyline will provide about six hours of fun and there will be a lot of optional side quests. The gameplay will be enriched by the new Chaos mechanics with a unique development tree. There are also new enemies, weapons, armor and other accessories as well as return of fortune cards.
Fatesworn will raise the maximum character level to 50 and will feature twenty-five Chaos Realm dungeons, spread across both the new area and the core world. Their layout and challenges will be procedurally generated, so every time we enter we will encounter new adventures.
A mysterious merchant will also appear in the game world, selling boxes in which we can find random equipment. There will also be additional music tracks by Grant Kirkhope, the composer of the soundtrack of the basic version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
