Kingdom Come: Deliverance to get a sequel; first game will not be divided into episodes
When Kingdom Come: Deliverance is finally out, and it won't be divided into three, separately released acts, but as a whole. This medieval sandbox will also get a sequel featuring a brand new story.
Despite early plans to release Kingdom Come: Deliverance in three separate acts the Czech-based Warhorse Studios decided that the game will come out as whole, said the studio’s PR manager Stolz-Zwilling in an interview for Game Watcher. This may explain why the release date has been repeatedly delayed, last time in May. Currently, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is estimated to come out some time in 2017, but it is still to early to talk about a solid date. Stolz-Zwilling also revealed that the team wants to make a full-blown sequel, with a new story and map.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is going to be a Medieval sandbox with loads of activities next to a main story-line. While doing various jobs for in-game NPCs, players will discover that some quests are time sensitive – although most of them won’t be. This means that in order to complete them, you will have to fit within a specific time-frame, e.g. get something quickly, or arrive somewhere at a specific time. If done right, this may put an additional layer of realism into that already realistic knight simulator.
Players will also have much freedom in the way they develop their character. As an alternative to taking what’s yours by force, you will be able to solve many quests in a diplomatic or sneaky way. At the end of the day, however, you will not be able to avoid all fights.
