Keanu Reeves in Ghost of Tsushima? Surely many fans would see the actor at least in one of the side plots. Meanwhile, an excellent deepfake has surfaced online with the actor playing Jin Sakai. The video, which lasts just over 12 minutes, is quite well done. Meanwhile, since Sony's announcement that there will be a film adaptation of the game, many have speculated about Reeves' participation in the production.
The fact that the movie adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima will be made by none other than Chad Stahelski, who directed John Wick with Reeves in the title role, caused quite a stir. The information added fuel to the fire and stirred up a new wave of speculation. Fans are wondering if the director's choice was random or if they can expect the actor to appear in the production. After all, Stahelski and Reeves have created a piece of good action cinema and know their capabilities. It is said, however, that the character of Jin Sakai will probably be played by the actor providing his image in the game, that is Daisuke Tsuji, who knows his character very well and expressed interest in repeating the role in a movie adaptation.
The premiere date of the film has not yet been announced. However, it is known that Sony Pictures, PlayStation Productions, 87Eleven Entertainment and Sucker Punch will join forces as executive producers. Keanu Reeves, in turn, does not complain about the lack of film propositions. For example, the film adaptation of his comic book, BRZRKR, is to be filmed by Netflix. The actor also appeared in Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand, which won the hearts of many players.
The video with Keanu Reeves as Jin Sakai, as the creator himself reveals, was created using the innovative DeepFace video editing technology, thanks to which we can freely change people's faces. The inspiration came from the movie 47 Ronin. The clip itself looks really impressive and, admittedly, Reeves fits in perfectly.
