Your initial task involves carefully selecting a team of capable soldiers who will accompany you on this gripping adventure from the very beginning. However, they will not work for free. You need money. The main source of this valuable resource is mines. We will tell you everything about them.
Mines in JA3
Mines are the main way of getting money in the game. It is not the only one, as you can find some dollars while exploring, for completed quests or after selling valuable objects. Nevertheless, mines are stable income, and it is very important in these difficult times.
There are 7 mines in Jagged Alliance 3. You can find them in sectors A2, B12, C7, D18, H7, I18, K10. Most of them are taken by Legion. 2 of them are special, they are independent, go to C7 and B12 to learn more about them. The closest mines to your starting point are those in regions H7 and K10.

The mechanic itself is quite simple, you conquer a mine, and passive profit will be added to your account every day. However, there are some details which should be taken into consideration:
- Mines can be depleted – at some point of the game you will get a message that a mine will be empty soon. At that point you have to search for another one (if you do not have one already). The first mine which you take over will be doomed quite early. In the case of the rest there seems to be longer period.
- Loyalty is important – every mine generates more money if the closest settlement is loyal to you. It means that it is worth to do quests for local community and kill Legion soldiers in the vicinity.
- Conquer 2 closest mines ASAP – mines in sectors H7 and K10 are quite close to you. They should be your first targets. You will spend some time in their vicinity which will make them easier to protect. Taking over them will give you large money boost. Don’t spend it right away. If you use money wisely, you will be able to amass quite a lot, which will allow you to survive even without additional income. Another good place to visit is a mine in A2 region as it is quite far away from hostile bases and will be simple to defend.
