It Took Over a Year to Get This Mysterious Item in Diablo 4. Bunch of Fans Discovered a Secret Method
Diablo 4 players are still searching for the Cow Level. Their search is unsuccessful, but they have managed to uncover another secret and obtain an item in the process.
Over a year has passed since the premiere of the latest game from Blizzard. The new season Season of Infernal Hordes will start on August 6, and the first expansion Vessel of Hatred will be released in October. Fans of Diablo 4 can't complain about being bored, and especially some of them are constantly busy searching for a certain secret level.
Does the ring lead to the Cow Level?
Probably the biggest mystery of Diablo 4 is still the undiscovered Cow Level. While the developers themselves humorously approach its existence, the game's fans take this issue very seriously. On Discord, the Not Finding A Cow Level channel hosts a group of nearly 16,000 players dedicated to uncovering secrets related to Blizzard's game, primarily focusing on the mysterious level.
To achieve this, fans scour the game files, the construction of locations, and any bugs that could help them solve the puzzle. A year ago, when the game was released, players came across the Ring of Misfortune in the game files, a mysterious ring that, according to the assumptions, was to be obtained only by performing specific actions. Now this sequence has been successfully discovered.
It turns out that the mysterious Lucky Coin leads to the object, which we can find on the corpse of an NPC, who is killed by a monster right before our eyes, and then we can search his body.
The group then discovered that the coin could be linked to a well in Scosglen, but that wasn't all. One player throwing a coin into the well is not enough. Five characters of different classes must do this. After completing the task, the well will reward players with a ring, as well as the title "Well-Wisher."
Finding the ring alone is worth honoring, even though both the players and the group itself believe that the ring isn't excessively powerful. Players on Reddit are full of admiration for the seekers and congratulate them on conducting such a complex investigation.
Some players, though, are hopeful that the recently obtained ring can be connected to previous secrets in some way and represents another step towards finding the Cow Level.
Does the Cow Level actually exist? We can't tell. The team is still working on solving this puzzle, and it appears that the game developers have no plans to make the search easier for players. Perhaps the upcoming expansion will bring some answers.
