Iron Harvest Free Beta - FPS Cap Removed; New Patch
KING Art released the 0.11.2 update for the open beta of the RTS Iron Harvest. The update removes the 60 fps cap and introduces many bug fixes.
A week ago, the open beta of Iron Harvest, a real-time strategy that takes place in the 1920+ universe created by Jakub Rozalski, started. The devs analysed the first results of the tests and released an update solving the most serious problems. The patch changes a lot, so old saves are not compatible with it.
The patch is numbered 0.11.2. It restores the option to enable vertical synchronization and removes the 60 fps cap. The user interface has also been improved and the explosion effects have been improved and their diversity has been increased. In addition, new dialogue lines for some units have been added.
The update also brings a lot of fixes for technical bugs and makes big changes in the balance.
Let us remind that only PC users can take part in tests. Files should be downloaded using Steam. The open beta enables us to check the beginning of the story campaign, play skirmish battles against the AI (solo or in co-op mode) and try our hand in multiplayer battles against other players.
It's worth noting that an online tournament organized with the help of the Electronic Sports League group will continue throughout August. The prize pool is seven thousand euros.
Iron Harvest will debut on PC on September 1 this year. The devs are also working on editions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but console players will have to wait until the first quarter of 2021.
