iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max May Finally Get 120Hz Refresh Rate

There is a good chance that the displays on Apple smartphones will eventually support a 120Hz refresh rate. This is said to happen with the launch of iPhone 13.

There have been reports on the Internet that two of the four iPhone 13 models planned for next year - most likely Pro versions - will use OLED displays using energy-efficient LTPO technology. The introduction of such a solution enables the manufacturer to use 120Hz display refresh rate, which we certainly look forward to in the latest model of smartphone from Apple.

As reports show, Apple will use OLED displays from manufacturers such as Samsung or LG and will install them in the entire iPhone 13 line. Where did the idea come from? These displays are considered to be 'more technologically advanced' than those used in series 12 models, while LTPO technology is designed to enable a more energy-efficient mounting plate to be placed on the display, responsible for turning specific pixels on and off. This solution is designed to provide support for a 120Hz refresh rate that offers smoother movement and scrolling without excessive battery consumption. What's more, this technology can even help extend the battery life of the latest iPhones.
