Insider: „Battlefield 6 May Not be What the Fans Want”

Anton Logwinow, a former journalist and now the head of FXA Studio, whose information on the PC versions of Death Stranding and Horizon: Zero Dawn turned out to be accurate, commented on Battlefield 6. He revealed that the upcoming game is not what the most ardent fans of the cycle would like.

At the beginning of the month, Electronic Arts announced that Battlefield 6 will appear on store shelves in 2021. So far, we don't have many confirmed reports related to the next installment of the popular FPS series from DICE, which gives room for all sorts of insiders. Recently, a former Russian journalist from Igromania, and now FXA Studio's head Anton Logvinov, has tweeted about the title. According to his knowledge (whether acquired through personal contact with the game or by talking to some developer or a person close to the team) Battlefield 6 is not what fans of the series would like, but it is still a good game (translation via DeepL).

Why should we believe Logvinov? You may remember that he was the one who informed about the PC ports of Death Stranding and Horizon: Zero Dawn before their official announcements. That's why he's now considered a credible source. The question is, what exactly did he mean by writing these words about Battlefield 6? Is it just about the unusual setting or some drastic changes in the gameplay? Answers to these questions may appear with the first official announcement of the title.
