The Vampire Diaries once reigned supreme on television. It was a beloved TV series about vampires, in which viewers could follow the love adventures of the Salvatore brothers and Elena Gilbert. Thanks to this TV show, many actors rose to fame and it was their first such big TV role.

Although Paul Wesley, who played Stefan in The Vampire Diaries, often jokingly (or not) complained about his character and the TV series itself, it seems that he doesn't ultimately have bad memories of his time spent on the set of the film adaptation, as he still enjoys talking about it to this day. And he even recently asked the TVD showrunner why a sequel wasn't made.

But back to his complaints and memories from the set, during an interview with TVLine Wesley revealed what was the worst thing for him during the filming of The Vampire Diaries.

You know what sucks about dancing? I'm gonna tell you what sucks about dancing on a TV series is that you have to do dialog, right? So you can't actually have the music so what happens is they do playback and then it's cut and it's silence. And you have to be [dancing] and all you hear is I'm shuffling [and scream], "This is such a great party". You just feel like an idiot... I'm a moron.

As you can see, Paul Wesley is not a fan of party scenes where you additionally have to dance, and there were quite a few of those in The Vampire Diaries. At the school in Mystic Falls, as well as in the town itself, there were regularly various parties where Stefan would go with Elena and they would party together. How often Wesley had to pretend to have a good time at a party and get into a dance without music probably influenced his reluctance to perform in similar scenes.
