Baldur's Gate 3 is certainly the most popular game based on the Dungeons & Dragons system owned by Wizards of the Coast, yet it's not the only one. RPG game fans can expect more titles of this type, and the next one is to be revealed soon. Moreover, Critical Role is responsible for it.

If you're not familiar, Critical Role is a group of professional voice actors who gained fame for their D&D games prepared and streamed on Twitch. They are quite popular, and the first campaign even led to the creation of an animated series titled The Legend of Vox Machina.

In a recent conversation with Business Insider (via GamesRadar+), Critical Role co-founder, Travis Willingham, revealed that the group is working on a video game, and fans won't have to wait too long for its reveal. Truth be told, it can happen "at any moment."

Few details were disclosed, other than that the game is set to take place in Exandria, a D&D world created by Matthew Mercer, and players will have significant control over its various elements.

Players will actually be getting their hand on the stick and controlling the outcome of the story, changing what might be possible from not just some of their favorite characters, but new offerings in the world of Exandria.

So this is a very mysterious announcement and it's not entirely clear what we can expect. However, it can be exciting, because the game is being developed by people very familiar with the D&D system. RPG genre fans definitely have something to look forward to.

Fortunately, as they await the announcement and subsequent release of the mysterious title, players can return to Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian Studios is currently testing Patch 8, which will introduce, among other things, 12 new subclasses and a photo mode. The launch date isn't yet known, however, everything indicates that it is not too far off.
