While Carrie Fisher enjoyed her role as Princess Leia and remembers her time on the set of the first two films of the original Star Wars trilogy well, she can't speak as positively about her experience filming the third installment, Return of the Jedi.

Things didn’t go well on the set of the Star Wars film between the actress and director Richard Marquand, who, as Fisher recounted during an interview with The Daily Beast, constantly yelled at her.

According to her statement, he didn't behave this way towards all actors, as he was much more positive towards Harrison Ford, and it was mainly Fisher who was getting berated on set. Once he even made her cry, which resulted in an hour-long break in shooting.

I hated him. He fell all over Harrison, but he would yell at me constantly. He yelled at me one day, and I burst into tears, and it felt great because it f**ked up the makeup. I thought, “Oh, I f**ked up your shot? Now you see who really f**ked up.” It took an hour for them to do my makeup again.

Although Carrie Fisher was brought to tears by Richard Marquand, she considered it her small success, since because of this the shooting was delayed and the director was able to see how badly his behavior affected the filming of the production. However, working with this filmmaker wasn’t a pleasant experience for her. This, however, fortunately didn’t affect her fondness for the series itself, in which she starred and to which she returned many years later.
