On May 8, Hydroneer received version 2.0 and since then the title has been growing in popularity. This unique sandbox offers many interesting mechanics enabling us to mine ore and crect buildings. This huide will explain how to solve the problem with clogged Hand Sorter
Hydroneer's Hand Sorter issue
In the game, after acquiring deposits of various metals, you can run them through the hand sorter, but sometimes it may turn out that you want to sort too many various elements, which will lead to the device clogging. How to deal with this? There are several methods.
- When the hand sorter gets clogged, move the container with already sorted ore and then unclog it using a magnet.
- As an alternative to a magnet, a construction hammer can be used to tap on the blockage to unblock it. The hammer and magnet can be used alternately.
- According to some players, blockages occur less frequently if the hand sorter is used to sort one type of deposit at a time.
There is also a problem that causes ore transferred to a container using the magnet to look as if it is actually in the container, but when the container is lifted, it is still lying on the ground. In this case, it must be manually transferred into the container.
Mining deposits
Some of the in-game mechanics of Hydroneer are troublesome for some players, especially beginners. For example manual extraction of deposits directly from the water. How should this be done?
- Go to the river with a bucket.
- Pick up the shovel by pressing E.
- Start digging with the shovel using the left mouse button.
- Fill the bucket by clicking on it with the left mouse button.
- Put the shovel down by pressing the E key, and pick up the bucket.
- Position the small, dark circle to the right of the cursor over the pan. Click the left mouse button to pour the soil into the pan.
Panning
In the next step, thoroughly wash the ore from the remaining soil. This can be done in two ways:
- First: drop the bucket into the river, pick it up and fill the pan with it.
- Second: drop the bowl filled with earth directly into the water and lift it up.
Set the container down, then use a brush to sweep out the soil and expose the ore.
