Prerequisites to Tame Jaguar (Panther) in Soulmask
Jaguar (Panther) is very fast mount. Taming it will make your exploration significantly easier. However, you must keep in mind that doing this requires you to reach a certain stage of progress. It is recommended to have Awareness Strength above level 20, you should also get Habit Analysis. You will also need to reach Advancement of Bronze to craft bronze gear. This will unlock the saddle, for building which which you need the following raw resources:
- 20 x leather,
- 10 x leather ropes,
- 10 x fine cotton,
- 5 x bronze ingots.
How to Tame Jaguar in Soulmask
When you meet these requirements, you can go to the northwestern part of the starting area. There you should scan the surroundings to find tracks. Interact with them and it will spawn high level Female Panther. She will look for food. At this stage, you must stay hidden and observe the animal. She will carry food to her child (it will spawn a small Jaguar). Now you can kill the mother. Then you can catch your future mount by using a medium animal trap with meat or fish inside. But be careful, as you can scarry it away.
As in the case of Alpaca, when you manage to bring Jaguar to the village, you will have to provide it a shelter. Additionally, you must water and feed the creature with meat. Finally, it remains to wait until the animal grows up and you can ride it.
