Path of Exile has recently received the Necropolis 3.24 update, which has shifted the balance of the league, including the Spectres that can be controlled by the player. Right now, one of the most sought-after helpers is the Spectral Leader. In this guide we explain where to find it.
How to Find Spectral Leader in POE
PoE Necropolis has introduced the 3.24 update, which brought many bug fixes and quality of life improvements, buffed crafting and changed the meta. The Spectral Leader is now one of the most helpful enemies in Path of Exile that you can reanimate with the Raise Spectre spell. It’s particularly useful because it can cast one of the strongest buffs in the game, 20% action speed increase, with an 80% uptime. Although it has a support role and does not deal direct damage, its utility is versatile and powerful enough to make it the top choice for any build from mid to late game.
However, just like any other Spectre, it has to first be beaten by the player in order to be summoned. Which brings the question - where to find the Spectral Leader?
The mob appears in the following maps at tier 17: Sanctuary Map, Citadel Map, Fortress Map, Abomination Map and the Ziggurat Map.
Another way to encounter it is to unlock the Invasive Adversaries node on the Atlas Tree, with the effect “Your maps contain 10% more Monster Packs consisting of difficult and rewarding monsters”. It will give you a chance to encounter Spectral Leader and other tier 17 Spectres even on Tier 1 maps, which is a cheap solution to obtaining them quickly.
