The First Descendant Farming Guide

Unlocking Ultimate Descendants requires a ton of research materials, and it's easy to feel lost. But first things first, let’s find out where to even find the information you need. When you visit Magister Anais to craft new items, you can check what exactly you need to unlock each Descendant, whether normal or Ultimate. Typically, there are 4 items you need to bring her to research a character, but each of these components requires a lot more resources to obtain first.

If you go to the Descendant Material tab, you can see which items are needed. By selecting a specific resource, you can view its Acquisition info. This section will provide details on the location, difficulty level, and activity name where the item can be obtained.

Every mission description provides detailed info on the resources you can acquire upon completion, including the specific drop chance. Tackling missions on a higher difficulty can increase your drop rate.

Don't be intimidated by the hundreds of materials needed to research a single Ultimate Descendant. While it won't take thousands of hours, this is definitely an endgame activity. Missions vary in length, ranging from quick runs to quests taking up to 30 minutes. Drop rates for the materials you need can be low (between 1% and 25%), so some missions will require multiple attempts.

So, the good news is, that it’s still possible to unlock Ultimate characters without spending real money. While the grind can take some time, expect to invest many hours to gather all necessary components, some players estimate over 100. However, keep in mind that crafting any material, including Descendants, takes additional time – typically a few hours per item.
