New Gameplay From Hood: Outlaws & Legends
The developers of Hood: Outlaws & Legends have released a new gameplay video. This time the developers have prepared a gameplay for the playable Ranger class along with a commentary.
Since the announcement of Hood: Outlaws & Legends, the devs dosed information about the game and the subsequent tests. Now, Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive have started a series of videos dedicated to gameplay with particular classes. On the first video we see the bow expert Ranger, whose combat potential is briefly discussed by the game's director Andrew Willans.
As you can guess, the Ranger's direct inspiration was none other than Robin Hood (as mentioned in December when the class' story trailers were released), although you can forget about the fancy hat and green outfit. In addition to striking enemies from afar, the Ranger will also have rope arrows, enabling his team to get into hard-to-reach areas. Additionally, his special ability will enable him to temporarily mark enemies to make them more visible to allies. When it comes to close quarters combat, however, the bowman will have to use evasion, flashbangs and - as a last resort - his most powerful ability yet, a large area-of-effect incendiary projectile.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends will launch on May 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. For now, the devs limit themselves to closed tests, although it's possible that before the release of the game we'll see an open beta. Unfortunately, we do not have any official information on this subject.
