Four more weeks separate us from the launch of Hood: Outlaws & Legends. Waiting for the game's debut should be make more pleasant by the new video from the project released by Sumo Digital and Focus Home Entertainment.
The video lasts over four minutes and discusses the basic game mechanics. It's worth attention, because Hood: Outlaws & Legends has quite unusual gameplay structure. Players will control groups of bandits carrying out daring robberies on castles. During each mission two teams of four robbers will compete for the loot. At the same time, both sides will also be forced to deal with AI-controlled guards.
During each heist, players will first have to infiltrate a castle and capture respawn points. Then they will try to get the key that is in possession of the sheriff. It won't be easy, because this character is supposed to be a boss who can kill a bandit with one blow, and he'll be protected by a group of elite guards.
With the key in hand we'll go to the vault, from where we'll take a chest with valuables and then try to escape the castle with it. The team which arrives second will be forced to try to take the loot from their rivals. What's more, the sheriff and his subordinates will do what they can to prevent the treasure from leaving the fortress walls.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. The PC release will be available both on Steam and Epic Games Store.
The release will take place on May 10, this year. Pre-ordering the game will enable us to start playing three days earlier. In early April, the devs announced that the game has gone gold. This means that the work on it has been completed, so we probably should not worry about any delays ("probably", because we remember what Cyberpunk 2077 did).
