Honkai Star Rail - What to Do with March 7th Origin Light Cone
The Companion Mission Total Recall in Honkai Star Rail gave players a mysterious item. Find out what’s the use of the March 7th Origin Light Cone.
In the Companion Mission Total Recall, Honkai Star Rail players received some cryptic hints about the past of March 7th, one of the main character’s companions. Going to her room after the main events of the quest and talking to her rewards you with the March 7th Origin Light Cone. However, this item is not what it might seem.

After completing the quest, players might be confused trying to find the March 7th Origin in their Inventory. This is because despite its name, the item does not appear in the Light Cone category. Look for it in the Missions category instead.
Unfortunately, the March 7th Origin being a Mission Item means it is not equippable, unlike other Light Cones. It also has no associated stat boosts or other gameplay effects. However, looking at the description of the Light Cone, you might notice there is an option to Use it.

The game doesn’t tell you beforehand what happens if you click this button, which might make players wonder about the consequences. Does the March 7th Origin Light Cone disappear if you use it? Do you get anything in return?
Fans who have also played Genshin Impact from HoYoverse might be reluctant to experiment, keeping in mind the Mask of Memories item, a similar memento of a character from a quest. The Mask was removed from the player’s inventory when used and returned a gameplay item of lesser sentimental value. Fortunately, it does not happen with March 7th Origin. Even after using, it still remains in your backpack.

At this point in time, all you can do with the March 7th Origin Light Cone is to view its description and artwork. Nonetheless, it is possible that this item will gain another use in the future, once the details of March 7th’s past will be revealed. The same has happened with some mission items that were made useful in an update after they were introduced, such as the Mini-Neutron Bomb. Check out our other guides for Honkai Star Rail:
