How big is the Hogwarts Legacy map? Youtuber flies on a broomstick and checks
Hogwarts Legacy is the first open-world game set in the universe created by J.K Rowling. But how big is the world?
A Youtuber by the handle ESO decided to find the answer to this question by flying across the entire map on a broomstick.
Well, not exactly the whole thing. As the creator explained, in his video he included roughly 2/3 of the map, as its southernmost part is only available in the endgame. Nonetheless, crossing from the northern end (the Northern Crossing Marshes above the Forbidden Forest) all the way to the South Sea Marshes at the Coastal Cavern takes about 10 minutes on a broomstick.
Interestingly, not everywhere can be flown in on a broomstick. Leaving aside the blocked off area in the south of the map, the village of Hogsmeade also remains unfriendly to wizards/wizards on broomsticks, and we are fenced off by a magical barrier when attempting to fly.
Certainly the map in Hogwarts Legacy hides many secrets waiting to be discovered. You won't have to wait long to start exploring this world - the game will debut on February 10 on PC, PS5 and XSX/S. Those who decided to preorder the Deluxe edition will be able to enjoy the game a little earlier - on February 7, when the gates of Early Access will open.
