Hideo Kojima Reveals His Plans: AAA Game, Anime and Smaller Projects
Hideo Kojima has more projects planned. Besides working on a AAA game, he will focus on smaller, experimental projects and an original anime.
Hideo Kojima is a very active creator who constantly gets involved in new projects. Sometimes they are related to the digital entertainment industry, and sometimes they go far beyond it. Now, we learned more about the type of games the Japanese developer would like to work on. It turns out that some will be significantly different from his most popular titles.
The creator shared this information in an interview with NHK radio channel, in Japanese. This source is obviously not very accessible to Western audiences. Fortunately, Twitter user by the handle Genki_JPN managed to translate its contents. It shows that Kojima's studio is currently working on a AAA game, which is supposed to attract the attention of every player. Most likely, we are talking about a Death Stranding-like title.
However, these are not the only projects Kojima Productions is working on. The studio is also planning to develop several smaller games, which are neither open-world titles nor big-budget shooters. So most probably we are talking about more experimental productions.
Moreover, Kojima's studio is also working on its own anime. New branch of the company, which was opened in November last year, will be responsible for it. Unfortunately, the Japanese creator did not share any additional information. We only know that it will most likely be a feature-length movie.
So it seems that in the near future Hideo Kojima will not complain about lack of work. The list of projects in which he is involved is quite long. We can only hope that we will learn a little more about them soon.
