Helldivers 2 Will Receive Biggest Update Ever. Escalation of Freedom Will Add Even More Variety to the Game
The developers of Helldivers 2 announced a major update called Escalation of Freedom. It will further diversify the game's content and is scheduled for release on August 6.
Arrowhead Studio announced the largest update so far for Helldivers 2 titled Escalation of Freedom. Thanks to it, the current content in the game will become more diverse than it is now, enriching itself with new missions, enemies, and planets. Let's take a closer look at what the developers offer.
What is coming to Helldivers 2?
For those looking for an even greater challenge, a new, tenth difficulty level has been prepared, called Super Helldive. The developers describe it in the following way:
CR 10: Super Helldive is our most challenging, most relentless dive difficulty level yet, and we hope that this is going to give players the intensity they’re looking for on the battlefield. And with a great challenge comes greater rewards.
Furthermore, missions will become more diverse with new objectives, such as recovering the jar with the larva, and larger, heavily fortified enemy outposts, which will require coordination and strategy. Many of the new tasks can also be completed at lower difficulty levels.
The number of opponents will also increase with the addition of the familiar "Impaler" from the first installment, the fog-covered "Spore Charger," and the dangerous "Terminid Alpha Commander." The ranks of Automatons will also be expanded, among which a powerful Rocket Tank will appear.
There will be dense and dark swamps to explore, where there will be no light on a daily basis. While traversing them, it is essential to have heightened vigilance and a flashlight, as the enemy may be lurking anywhere.
The last major addition seems to be eliminating the problem of players being kicked out by the rest of the team during missions. With the update, the "kicked" person will appear in the new session as a host, with all the loot gathered from the previous team. The devs want to encourage gameplay based on cooperation, not on making life difficult for others.
The release date for Helldivers 2: Escalation of Freedom is set for August 6th of this year.
