Helldivers 2 Players Excited for Animated Series in Star Wars Clone Wars Style. Fans Would Love to Watch Such a Series
A crossover that we deserved and which, at the same time, nobody expected.
Appreciated in its simplicity and at the same time well-constructed, Helldivers 2 quickly became one of the best-received games released in recent months. Soldiers defending Super Earth from invaders from alien galaxies may evoke other works of pop culture depicting similar themes. For fans, this is a topic not only for discussion, but also for creating art.
Vibe of the old Star Wars films
BNBaku Animation is a YouTube channel whose creator aims to "revive the classic aesthetic" in contemporary productions. His latest material is a tribute to Star Wars Clone Wars -- the animation recreates an iconic scene from the series in the Helldivers 2 universe.
While BNBaku takes inspiration primarily from 90s anime, the above project demonstrates its openness to slightly more "modern" productions. The first Clone Wars series premiered in 2003. Back then, Cartoon Network used to publish episodes rarely exceeding three minutes in length.
The original episode was titled "Arc Troopers" and was released as part of the second season of the series. The story revolved around the battle between clones and General Grievous's troops, who had captured a group of Jedi. Captain Fordo successfully rescued three well-known figures from the universe: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura, and Shaak Ti.
A TV series worth appreciating
Many fans still remember the old Clone Wars with nostalgia, noting that Cartoon Network's short animations did a good job of showing the trust building between the clones and the Jedi. This makes the ultimate fate of the unit even more tragic.
BNBaku ensured that the sound was adjusted to preserve the lines of the clones from the series while also incorporating music in the style of Helldivers 2. Commenters definitely appreciate the efforts, believing that the series based on the game could look like this.
Now I want a Helldivers series, UGHHH DAMN YOU!
