Helldivers 2 is a new TPP game, which seems to be created in the spirit of Starship Troopers franchise. Players fight with giant insects for the glory of mankind with cheesy and pompous propaganda program. While thousands of players started their journey, many can’t, as they see a black screen and then the game crashes. Let’s talk about potential fixes.

Helldivers 2 – How to Fix Black Screen and Crash Problem

Many players report that the game crashes after showing a black screen. It is often just after nGuard logo shows up. The source of the problem varies from person to person, that’s why there are no universal fixes. However, we will present you the most common ones.

  1. Turn off unnecessary background programs – various software appears to be incompatible with the game and causes it to shut down. People report that closing such programs as Rivatuner, MSI Afterburner, Zerotier or even Discord fixed the issue.
  2. Restart Steam – many players report that it helped them.
  3. Update your drivers – it won’t hurt, and some users report that graphics drivers were the issues in their case. It is a good thing to do, especially if you have not done it recently.
  4. Lunch through exe file – try to go to the game’s directory and launch the title there as administrator.
