Halo Infinite Will Launch Only in 2021
The creators of Halo Infinite from 343 Industries announced that they are forced to delay the release of the game until 2021. The title was originally scheduled to launch in November with the debut of the new Xbox Series X console and be one of the platform's launch titles.
Halo Infinite will debut only in 2021. The decision was made by Microsoft and 343 Industries. It was to be supported by a thorough analysis of the development process, which made it clear that the fall deadline is unattainable. The developers blame the delays associated with the coronavirus pandemic. Many developers were forced to work remotely from their homes, which made all kinds of progress very difficult and slowed them down. Chris Lee, the project leader, comments on the situation:
We found out that the game is not in the best condition a few weeks ago, during its first big presentation. What we could see then was brutally criticized by the players. Especially the visuals got hit. The developers explained that we were seeing with an early and underdeveloped version of Halo Infinite. Taking into account the delay, we may suspect that, contrary to the assurances, the studio probably did not have better materials.
Let us recall that the long awaited FPS, continuing the adventures of Master Chief, was announced back in June 2018. The title was planned from the beginning as one of several big hits that were to accompany the launch of Xbox Series X. Apart from the new system, the game will also be released simultaneously on Xbox One and PCs.
