GTA Online Los Santos Tuners Update Has Players Walking in Circles for Days
GTA Online players are using new features from the Los Santos Tuners update to earn free experience points when awat from keyboard.
Grand Theft Auto Online has been attracting thousands of players for years. Among them, there will always be clever people who will do anything to speed up their character's progression. With the recent Los Santos Tuners update the game saw the emergence of users who walk in circles for hours and even days to gain experience points.
The update introduced a lot of new features, and fans would definitely like to try them out as soon as possible, but they can't do so without sufficiently leveling up their characters. Acquiring new reputation ranks sometimes takes a really long time. Therefore, to speed up the leveling process users rely on the fact that from time to time they get special Tuner XP points for just being present in the recently added car tuning events. Players go away from their computers and leave their characters roaming around the appropriate room, so theoretically they are active all the time. As a result, they earn free points and hit experience levels, which gives them the ability to purchase new items, such as better car parts.
There are many methods to stay active in the game while being AFK. Some lock the keys, while others use rubber bands to hold down the controller knobs. There's really no limit to creativity here. It's important to remember, however, that these actions have a negative effect on normal gamers, who find lobbies full of mindlessly walking characters or users perpetually sitting in menus. Another thing that may discourage some is that supposedly after reaching level 100 it is no longer worthwhile to use AFK tactics and gain points at the same time.
What do you think of such practices? Is it Rockstar's fault that they design their game poorly, or the problem lies with the players, who try to cheat the system and achieve the appropriate ranks without effort?
