Wild West Battle Royale GRIT Enters Beta
A closed beta of a new battle royale game called GRIT has just appeared on Steam. Saddle up and take on other players in the Wild West.
It's noon, there's a loaded revolver in your holster - you mount your horse and quickly head into a fierce battle between dozens of other cowboys, fleeing an approaching storm looming in the distace. This is how GRIT the upcoming Wild West battle royale game from debuting GRIT Team looks like. The game has currently entered closed beta tests on Steam. To participate in them, open the game tab in the store, and then click the "Request Access" button.
GRIT offers a classic battle royale experience for 100 players set in the realities of the Wild West. In the game we can face other cowboys alone, in pairs or in a team of four. We'll be saved from death by a system of one-on-one duels, similar to the one used in Call of Duty: Warzone, where vicotry will enable us to return to the battlefield.
Armament consists of more than 20 guns of different firepower, and we must also take into account the ballistics. A number of additional equipment is also available to help us achieve victory. An important part of GRIT are Profit Cards, which define our style of play and determine role in the team - starting from a skillful, aggressive gunfighter to a calm, composed medic.
The landscape of the map looks promising. We can explore sandy areas, abandoned towns, oil refineries, as well as green areas overgrown with forests or snow-covered hills. A significant aspect of the game is moving on horses of different speed or weight, which serve not only as a means of transport but also as a weapon in themselves.
The game will be released on PC in September this year, and its launch will be preceded by early access period, which will start in the spring. The current beta testing phase will last until April 5.
