Interestingly, there is a discrepancy in the release dates. The official announcement said that the title will launch next year. In the post on Twitter on the other hand, it was mentioned that the release will not take place until 2024.

French studio Spiders has just announced GreedFall 2: The Dying World, the sequel to the 2019 RPG set in a fantasy universe stylized on the 17th century. The game is expected to hit PC and unspecified consoles next year.
The action of the sequel is to take place three years before events shown in the first part. This time we play as a native inhabitant of Teer Fradee, who is forcibly removed from the island. In this way, he will find himself on the plague-ravaged continent of Gacane, where he will try to regain his freedom.
At this point no details related to the gameplay mechanics were revealed, apart from the mentions of tactical combat, traveling with companions, maneuvering between factions and emphasis on making choices. So we can assume that the general gameplay rules will not differ from what we know from the first GreedFall.
GreedFall 2 is not the only game, which Spiders is currently working on. In September we will see the release of a soulslike RPG Steelrising.
