Godzilla vs. Kong Director Grateful for Trailer's Positive Reception
Adam Wingard, the director of Godzilla vs. Kong, thanked on his Instagram everyone who positively reviewed the trailer for his latest production. As a token of gratitude, he put together a compilation of the best fan reactions.
The trailer of the upcoming superproduction Godzilla vs. Kong has proven to be a huge success. The trailer, which premiered on January 24 on the official channel of Warner Bros., has already been watched by nearly 50 million Internet users.
The triumph of the trailer can be seen not only in the number of views and thumbs up (about 1.5 million), but also in many videos made by Internet users who recorded their reactions to the trailer. The movie's director, Adam Wingard, is pleased with this kind of popularity. This is the first blockbuster in his career. Previously, he mainly created low-budget horror films (You're Next, Blair Witch). On his Instagram, the creator personally thanked everyone who positively reviewed the Godzilla vs. Kong trailer, and especially appreciated those who recorded their reactions. Together with Warner Bros. the author created a compilation of videos recorded by fans and posted it on his official YouTube channel.
"Watching the Godzilla Vs Kong trailer blow up across the internet has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I can’t thank you all enough for making the launch such a success. When directing a big movie like this it takes years off of your life! Its a long difficult process that sometimes feels like there is no end in sight! Just look at my beard before and after GVK, I barely had any grey hairs and now I look like fucking Santa Clause! BUT NOTHING has rejuvenated me more than being able to watch the excitement to the trailer online in the many fan reaction videos. This is what its all about. I may not be able to enjoy this with ya’ll in a cinema just yet but to see and hear the excitement in these trailer reaction videos has made this long journey worthwhile."
Godzilla vs Kong, as announced by Warner Bros. will premiere simultaneously in theaters and on the HBO Max streaming platform. The clash of the two legendary monsters, which last faced each other in 1962, will take place on March 31, this year.
